BULLIES FOR VETERANS

Lonely Acres Bulldogs & the American Legion Riders post 91 in Austin, MN wanted to give back in a special way, so the concept was born to give the gift of a Bulldog companionship to one of our Minnesota Veterans.

A general idea of the process : A friend, co-worker, family member, etc can nominate a Veteran or active duty military person they feel deserving and would be truly helped by the companionship of a Bulldog. A nomination includes writing a 1200 (min) word essay describing why you feel this individual makes a good candidate, a little about their life and situation, and how you feel they would benefit.

There will be required forms that must be submitted if you are considered for the bulldog puppy. Those will include and not be limited to: Most recent DD214, Copy of MN Drivers License, Proof of MN residency. ((More requirements will be added as campaign information is completed))

The best application is directly from the Veteran themself, but we do understand that is not always the way things work. So friends, family, and co workers are invited to submit an application for the Veteran as well.

Our Veteran selected will be based on need and the best fit for the Bulldog. Our hope is that you are able to take your pup for service training to help them meet your needs.

We want you to know you are loved and appreciated regardless of choosing your application. If your application is not chosen this round, we will automatically include it again unless you request otherwise.

RETIRED BULLDOGS & RESCUE BULLDOGS WHO MEET THE TRAINING AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS ARE NOW SENT TO OUR 2019 VETERAN RECIPIENT KIRK TO BE TRAINED BY CD LEGACY DOG TRAINING FACILITY IN BRAINARD, MN.
